In 2003, during the lead-up to the Iraq War, two New York-based actresses named Kathryn Blume and Sharron Bower created The Lysistrata Project. This project involved readings and productions of Aristophanes' play (1029, in fact) across the country in protest against the war. No news on whether it involved an actual sex strike, though. In 2006, in Pereira, Colombia, the wives and girlfriends of the city's gangsters went on a sex strike to convince their men to give up violence. We wonder if anyone of them had to rush home to "shuck flax"? (Source.)
