Pete Timeline and Summary

Pete shows up at the battle of Rum Alley and comes to the rescue of Jimmie.
Years go by, but here's Pete and he's all grown up. Well, sort of—he's definitely big and manly.
Pete makes his move on Maggie, and she's totally up for it.
Boy does that guy know how to treat a lady. He takes her to dime museums, vaudeville, music halls, strip teases—you name it.
Pete gets into serious fisticuffs with Jimmie.
Maggie's cute and all, but Pete never got over his old flame, Nellie, so when she appears, he ditches Maggie.
Yearning to impress Nellie and her friends, Pete ends up in a bar throwing money around like a drunken sailor.
He hits the floor, out cold. And that's the end for Pete.
