Brian Fitzgerald Timeline & Summary

Brian is a fire fighter and paramedic, so he, um, fights fires and saves people.
But he feels guilty that he can't save his own children.
When Anna sues her family, he decides to move out of the house and into his fire station and takes Anna with him.
He also finds out that his son, Jesse, is an arsonist; when he catches him, he hugs Jesse, and Jesse is cured of his misanthropy.
On the stand, Brian chickens out, and cannot say that Anna deserves to make her own decisions.
His cowardice makes his wife love him again (she loves when he agrees with her) and they get back together.
After the trial, in which Anna wins anyway, Brian is called to the scene of a car accident.
It's Anna. She's dead. Brian feels badly that he pretty much ignored her for most of his life, but at least he got to look at stars with her, which is more than his wife ever did.
