My Sister's Keeper was the seventh most-challenged book of 2009, according to the American Library Association. Reasons: homosexuality, offensive language, religious viewpoint, sexism, sexually explicit, unsuited to age group, and violence. That makes us want to read it even more.

If you want to be in a movie adapted from a Jodi Picoult book… well, you might out of luck. But Picoult does write and produce a play every year, and she'd be more than happy to sell you the script.
