Signor Montoni Timeline and Summary

Montoni makes his move on Madame Cheron (or the opposite way around) soon after Em arrives at Tholouse.
The two lovebirds have a super-speedy engagement and wedding before anyone else knows what's up.
Montoni decides to move his new wife and Em to Italy. Muahahaha.
Man, does Montoni have some sketchy friends. He decides to marry Em off to Morano, and then breaks it off when he moves the whole family to Udolpho.
The M-man duels with Morano when the latter tries to kidnap Em from the castle. Montoni wins fair and square but gets a pretty nasty injury on his arm.
Em's not totally sure, but she gets the sense that Montoni's some sort of outlaw. Turns out she's right: he's part of the Condittieri, a group of Italian mercenaries.
Montoni's putting the pressure on his wife to make her give up her properties. She refuses, so he sends her to the east turret to reconsider.
When Madame Cheron dies, Montoni tries to get Em to sign away her rights to his late wife's properties. She refuses at first, but he proves to be very convincing.
Montoni sends Em away to Tuscany while the castle is under siege. He's got to protect his interests.
After Em escapes from Udolpho, everything goes downhill for Montoni. The government infiltrates Udolpho and takes him prisoner.
Soon after, Montoni dies mysteriously. No one knows exactly why, but rumors say that poison was involved.
