Nakayama-sensei

Come on. The guy has teacher (sensei) in his freaking name. Nakayama-sensei lives up to his title, and he is the guide and mentor for the Nakane family and the Japanese Canadian community in general. Without him, the family would not have been able to find a home in Slocan. He is also the reason that Naomi finally finds out what happened to her mother. That's some pretty good mentorship (senseiship?) right there.
