Sophocles had his own family troubles; to disprove his son’s accusations of dementia, he recited Oedipus at Colonus in court. Those pesky kids, always out trying to prove their parents are inept. (Source.)

Colonus just happens to be Sophocles’ hometown. Coincidence? We don't think so. (Source.)

Sophocles is the second known Athenian playwright, and lived to be about 100. Color us impressed. (Source.)
