World War III occurs while Dwight's sub Scorpion is submerged. After learning the news, he docks in Australia.
After some time, Australian naval officer Peter Holmes joins Dwight's crew.
Peter introduces Dwight to Moira Davidson, who he falls in love with. However, he refuses to become romantic with her because he has a delusional belief that his family is still alive.
Scorpion takes several test runs.
Dwight decides to buy his family gifts, though he can't find a pogo stick for his daughter.
Scorpion heads to America to perform scientific analysis. The crew comes back with bad news.
Moira presents Dwight with a pogo stick.
