We'll say this for Billy: It would be a boring ride if we were just listening to Georgie talk to herself for a week. He also comes in handy a few times, like when that cougar shows up, plus he takes most of the heat when Mr. Garrow and Bowler Hat come after them. Despite Georgie's conflicted feelings (annoyance, sibling love, secret crush, total dislike) for Billy, she later wishes she could talk to him about everything that happened, because he's the one who went through it with her. That's the definition of a companion, right?
