The protagonist is usually the easiest character to identify because protagonist is just a fancy word for main character. In a novel with first-person narration like One Came Home, the protagonist and the narrator are often one and the same. The protagonist is the girl we're pulling for, the one we want to accomplish her goal. We all want to see Georgie prove that Agatha's not dead, right? Or at least come to terms with the fact if Agatha is dead.
