• The Interrogator sends his interns to find out the status of Commander Ga, who has just arrived at Division 42 for interrogation.
• The Interrogator feels that he's doing good work by writing biographies of torture victims.
• The Interrogator bids to get a chance to question Ga about the murder of Sun Moon and her children.
• The Interrogator figures out that Ga had been a prisoner. He strikes a deal with Ga: tell the story, and he and the interns will answer one question for him.
• The Interrogator has to fight to get Ga back after he frightens the Pubyok with a revelation. He takes his crew into the sump to retrieve Ga, but they find that he's in a bed, suffering from electrical shocks applied to the brain.
• The Interrogator gets Ga to tell him his oldest memory, which turns out to be a story all orphans know.
• The Interrogator finds Comrade Buc in the sump and questions him about Ga. He tells Buc that his family is dead and takes Buc's wedding ring from him.
• The Interrogator returns to his apartment and asks his blind parents why they never found him a wife.

• When the Interrogator returns to Division 42, he finds that Q-Kee has given Buc his tainted peaches.
• The Interrogator finds another can of tainted peaches and takes them for his own use.
• The Interrogator's crew is disappearing, but he makes his way out to Sun Moon's and Comrade Buc's houses. He finds only DVDs and rice.
• The Interrogator falls behind on his other cases because of Ga. He is conscripted again to do manual labor and can't get back to Division 42 right away.
• When the Interrogator returns, he realizes that Q-Kee is becoming Pubyok. Only Jujack is left.
• Sarge invites the Interrogator to join the Pubyok as well, but he wants nothing to do with it.
• The Interrogator takes his crew to the site where the artificial Texas ranch had been, but the flooding makes it impossible to find anything. No Sun Moon.
• The Interrogator tries to save Jujack when Q-Kee denounces him for withholding information—but he fails.
• The Interrogator wanders around Pyongyang but can't remember what he's been doing or for how long. At Division 42, he finds Ga—but with his tattoo carved off of his chest.
• The Interrogator learns that Ga will be branded in the soccer stadium. He goes back home to execute his "plan" and feeds his parents the tainted peaches.
• Back at Division 42, the Interrogator hooks both himself and Ga up to the "autopilots"—he intends to wipe their minds clean.
