Shu and Tefnut's Clique: Double Trouble
Some deities come in pairs. Shu and Tefnut are rarely apart, and Geb and Nut, while kept at arm's length by Shu, still stick together. The four of them started a group of deities who hang out (in pairs, of course) after school.
Artemis (Diana) and Apollo
The twin children of the Greek goddess Leto and Olympic Zeus are the jocks of this crew, staying out later than everybody else to explore. Sometimes, their pet wolves and Shu and Tefnut's pet lions race each other. Nobody's above taking bets—but the wolves usually win.
Castor and Pollux (the Dioscuri)
Like Shu and Tefnut, these Olympians were born at the same time, though they hatched from an egg instead of being ejected from Atum's eye. Also like Shu and Tefnut, they live in the sky—not as wind and rain, but as stars in the constellation Gemini. Castor and Pollux have had far more exciting adventures than their Egyptian friends, though, so they often do the storytelling when the group hangs out.
Frey (Freyr) and Freyja
Because they're so friendly, everyone was happy to invite Frey and his sister Freyja to the clique. But after getting to know them a little bit, Shu and Tefnut are beginning to wonder if they shouldn't have asked the other Norse gods for their opinions first. Seems neither of them can be trusted, and they've got a bunch of magical powers that they keep using to get their way.
