The Geek approaches Sam on the bus.
He's persistent in asking her out. She's even more persistent when rejecting his geeky butt.
He continues flirting with her at the dance, which eventually causes her to run away from the gym entirely. (Psst, this method isn't working.)
The Geek follows Sam to the auto shop, where they have a nice, honest, human conversation.
He realizes he can help Sam hook up with her crush, Jake Ryan.
He asks Sam for her underwear—the nice, honest, human part of the conversation has concluded—so he can pretend to his friends that he slept with Sam.
At the after-party, the Geek is shoved under a table by some jocks.
Jake finds him, and the Geek assures Jake that Sam likes him.
To reward the Geek, Jake gives him his underwear!
Just kidding: Jake gives him his unconscious girlfriend.
The Geek sleeps with Caroline while she's unconscious, but she thinks she liked it, and she agrees to stay with the Geek instead of Jake.
And they live happily ever after…?
