Bertha

Even though we never actually meet this big, pesky Bertha, we feel like we know her—and we don't like her. Townsfolk of all sorts constantly insult her and seem to view her with absolute disgust. To make matters worse, she calls for Sykes outside of Delia's house. She even goes inside their house when Delia's not there.

While Bertha's not the sole source of Delia's unhappiness, she's a pretty…big part.
