Exactly how steamy is this story?

Morrison isn't one to shy away from tough questions, or from steamy romance. In Tar Baby, we hear references to sex not only from the book's two main lovers, Son and Jade, but also the much older Valerian and Margaret Street. Everybody's doin' it.
There's a reference to Valerian's premature ejaculation in one of his conversations with Margaret that isn't exactly family friendly. There's also a rape scene, which is deeply upsetting. We could go on and list all of the sexytimes in Tar Baby, but we would be at it for a looong time. Unlike Valerian. Badoom-ching!
Bottom line: don't read this book if your parents are in your book club, guys. It would be super uncomfortable for all parties involved.
