Character Role Analysis
Henry Cameron
The old, bitter, and drunken Henry Cameron might seem like a pretty awful mentor, but he gets the job done. His mentorship does double duty in showing Roark what should aspire to be (an uncompromising architect—yay!) and also what he shouldn't aspire to be (a fall-down drunk—boo.)
Cameron is a curmudgeon, but he's also smart and recognizes Roark's potential. He helps to champion him as Roark struggles to get his career up and running.
