Leo Valdez Timeline & Summary

Leo is born to Hephaestus and Esperanza Valdez. Hephaestus leaves, but Esperanza knows he was a god and that Leo will eventually meet him.
Hera disguised as Tía Callida babysits Leo, putting him in fires and letting him play with knives because she knows she'll need him as a hero someday.
When he's eight, Gaea appears and kills his mother in a factory fire. Leo feels he is responsible.
Leo moves from school to school, often running away.
He ends up at the Wilderness School, where he becomes friends with Piper.
Jason appears on a bus trip. Leo thinks they have been friends, though it's just an illusion created by the Mist.
Leo, Piper, and Jason are rescued and taken to Camp Half-Blood, and Leo is claimed by his father Hephaestus.
Leo decides to go on the quest to rescue Hera. He finds and tames a robot dragon in the forest, whom he names Festus.
Leo finds a secret bunker in the forest and puts wings on Festus to carry them on their quest.
After many adventures, Festus is irreparably damaged. Leo gets his father to take the head back to the bunker so Leo can reuse it.
Leo, Piper, and Jason rescue Hera.
Leo decides to build a giant armed boat to take the heroes on the next stage of their quest, and is named Head Counselor of Cabin Nine (the Hephaestus cabin).
