Third Person (Limited Omniscient)
We are being told the story as seen and felt by our protagonist Thomas, but not by Thomas directly. This would be better if Thomas weren't such a limp noodle of a guy, because for at least the first half of the book we are following the emotions of a whiny, lost little boy:
Different emotions battled for dominance in his mind and heart. Confusion. Curiosity. Panic. Fear. But laced through it all was the dark feeling of utter hopelessness, like the world had ended for him, had been wiped from his memory and replaced with something awful. He wanted to run and hide from these people. (2.12)
But not to worry, he eventually grows a spine and becomes a much more interesting person in which to become invested.
