Character Analysis
Like most of Set's demons, this guy's no looker. Carter describes him as "tall and scarecrow skinny, with rooster claws instead of feet. I couldn't see his face very well, but it looked red and moist and…well, let's just say I was glad I couldn't see it better" (6.7). There's more to this demon than meets the eye, though: he's possessed by Apophis, so whenever he makes a clever suggestion to Set about how to increase his power, Face of Horror is actually advancing an agenda that will help chaos triumph over order. Freaky.
