Antagonist
Character Role Analysis
T. Ray
This one is kind of tricky. First of all, it's important to remember that T. Ray is never represented as a wholly evil guy, even in his worst moments. Second, there are far more openly unsavory, immoral, and bigoted people in the book, but none of those figures is central enough to wear the "Antagonist" hat. So, because he a) is a central character, b) is mean/racist, and c) likes to be mean to the protagonist, he gets the hat tip for this one.
