Wendy Torrance/Jack Torrance

Jack Torrance is an aggressive, selfish dude who gets super mad when the rest of the world doesn't behave the way he wants it to. And he likes to take a lot of his frustration out on his wife, Wendy. It's a shame that Wendy puts up with him, but she does because she's obviously afraid of the guy.

While Jack thinks only of himself, Wendy thinks about Jack and about their son Danny. In fact, Wendy seems to spend too little time thinking about herself. If she had, maybe she would have been more aware of Jack's descent into madness. The sad thing is that she doesn't really sees his change until it's too late, because she has such a habit of making excuses for Jack and leaving him alone whenever he tells her to go away.
