Alcibiades

Alcibiades doesn't really instruct Timon in any way, but he's the closest thing that Timon has to a mentor. First off, we see that Alcibiades is capable of fighting the system when he dukes it out with the Senators (3.5). Timon tries (more unsuccessfully) to do this by leaving Athens and wailing against the city and its people, but it's Alcibiades who's paved the way. Then we get a glimpse of some mentor-like discussion when Alcibiades meets up with Timon in the woods. The two discuss life and happiness, and Alcibiades is straightforward with Timon in a way that no one else is.
