Cole Matthews and Peter Driscal

Even though Cole and Peter are very different people, they share something pretty major after Cole beats Peter up: Both boys host pent-up rage and believe the world is out to get them. Of course, Cole brings this upon Peter by victimizing him, but when the boys are on the island together, they come to an understanding of sorts and tap into some mutual respect. By learning from the creatures around them—and through the rituals that Edwin teaches them—they both learn to let go of their anger and move on.
