Governor Gumpas

Character Analysis

Governor Gumpas is the corrupt and cowardly ruler of the Lone Islands. He has allowed the slave trade to flourish in his dominions and maintains his guards and officials in a shabby, slobby state. Obsessed with proper procedure, Gumpas tends to use bureaucracy to maintain his own power base and prevent other people from making positive changes. Gumpas is given the boot by King Caspian and Lord Bern when he refuses to abolish slavery in the Lone Islands.
