Grandma Aching/The Queen

Granny Aching and the Queen are obviously both very powerful women, but they use their magical powers for completely different causes. Whereas Granny uses her powers to ensure that the people of the Chalk are fairly governed and that the land is cultivated and safe, the Queen uses her powers for personal gain. She is super selfish and just wants to be entertained. These two ladies have taken very different paths when it comes to how they deal with their power and responsibility.
