The Old Couples

Full disclosure: we have no proof that Harry and Sally know anything about these older couples. So it's not as if they're in a position to be asking for sage advice from Ben Small of the Coney Island Smalls. But that being said, if we're talking simply about the movie's narrative, we viewers have some definite lessons to learn from these old couples' stories. We see love in its infinite variations—some sweet, some snarky, some downright strange. And we know that by the end of the movie, Harry and Sally's sweet, snarky, and somewhat strange story will be told, too.
