Gino

Gino, the dashingly handsome Italian, is the love interest of not one, but two of the main characters in the novel. It's love at first sight for Lilia. She falls head over heels for Gino when she sees him leaning against a stone wall at sunset—swoon! Later in the novel, Miss Abbott also finds herself falling for Gino when she sees what a great dad he is.
