The Man Timeline and Summary

The man looks out over all of his furniture sprawled out on the lawn from his vantage point inside the house.
There's a time jump, and now the man is coming home from a trip to the grocery store to find the young couple scoping out his stuff. They start negotiating pricing while the older man gives his guests alcohol.
The older man invites the young couple to dance, even though the entire neighborhood can see them. When the young man bows out of those festivities, the older man dances with the young girl.
We don't know what happens to the older man after that evening—we just know that the girl finds it hard to stop talking about him for a while.
