Character Analysis
Like Wisty, Mrs. Highsmith is a witch. When she runs into the Allgood siblings at a diner in the City of Progress, she accuses Wisty of being a witch. Wisty cleverly turns the tables on her, but Mrs. Highsmith and her coven are able to evade capture. Ultimately, she's a mysterious character because she makes a brief appearance in which her motives are unclear. Why would she want to get a fellow witch like Wisty into trouble, anyway?
