The International Labour Organization (ILO) was founded on this day in 1919. It deals with—you guessed it—international labor issues, standards, and practices. For example, in 2014, the ILO reported that there are only three countries in the world that don't offer paid maternity leave: Oman, Papua New Guinea, and the good ol' U.S. of A. Talk about a labor issue.
