Notorious political terrorist Carlos the Jackal was captured on this day in 1994. The bomber spent years as one of the world's most wanted international fugitives. So how'd they finally catch him? Two words: testicle surgery. While living under protection in Sudan, he went in for a minor operation. During his recuperation, he was tranquilized, turned over to French authorities, put on trial for the murder of two French police officers and an informant, and sentenced to life in prison. His testicles made a full recovery.
