Wild West outlaw Billy the Kid killed his first man on this day in 1877. Legend has it that Billy killed twenty one people: one for every year of his life. In reality, the total was probably more like four. In fact, he was kind of nerdy. He was a ravenous reader who devoured dime store novels, and he worked at a cheese factory. No, not The Cheesecake Factory; just a run of the mill New Mexican house o' fromage.
