The Battle of the Little Bighorn began on this day in 1876. If you have ties to the United States 7th Cavalry, you may know it better as Custer's Last Stand. If you're Lakota, you might fondly remember it as The Battle of the Greasy Grass. And if you're Shmoop, you call it Curley vs. Curly, as, coincidentally, those were the nicknames of both General Custer and Crazy Horse.
