On this day in 1946, Winston Churchill delivered his famous "Iron Curtain" speech and kicked off the Cold War. No matter what that kid that sits behind you in International Relations says, the speech was not a stirring discourse on heavy metal drapes. Rather, it was a denunciation of the Soviet Union's policies in Europe.
