may 26 Learn More Dracula Hits Shelves
Bram Stoker's Dracula hit London shelves on this day in 1897. The gothic horror novel was more of a critical hit than a commercial hit at first—and it defined vampires as we know them today. The most well known incarnation of Dracula is Bela Lugosi's sophisticated count from the 1931 film adaptation, but our favorite remains The Count from Sesame Street. Ah ah ah!
