Nirvana released "Smells Like Teen Spirit" as a single on this day in 1991. Remember the dancing janitor in the grunge anthem's music video? That was an inside joke between the band members. Not long after dropping out of Aberdeen High School, lead singer Kurt Cobain went back school—to work as a janitor.
