00:22

As soon as you’ve entered the classroom code, or accepted the email invitation from

00:25

your teacher, you can get started.

00:27

And…you’re in.

00:28

Hey, that was easier than trying to get into a Starbucks restroom without buying a Frappucino… [Man walking to the restroom and an alarm goes off]

00:33

On the Overview page, you’ll see a link to the course content area.

00:37

Once you enter the courses, you’ll be directed to the syllabus in the last lesson you accessed.

00:41

The Syllabus gives you the breakdown of all Unit and Lesson titles, and lets you know

00:45

which ones you’ve conquered, and which have yet to be vanquished.

00:48

Then, inside each lesson, you can access the Introduction, Readings and Activities via [Person clicking through the introduction, reading and activities tab on the lesson page]

00:53

this trio of tabs right here.

00:55

You can also check out the Virtual Gradebook…where you’ll be able to see when your teacher

00:59

grades one of your assignments.

01:00

You’ll also be able to get a sense of your overall progress within a course. [The gradebook page]

01:04

If you’re doing well though, we suggest you do a “print page” before taping your [Laptop taped to the fridge]

01:07

progress report to the fridge… [The laptop falls]

01:10

Schools.shmoop offers full courses in a wide variety of content areas, including math,

01:14

ELA, Life Skills, Writing, and more.

01:17

You probably want to know what you’re getting into.

01:19

What’s in these courses?

01:20

Good question.

01:21

Every one of our courses is relevant, engaging, challenging, and totally comprehensive. [Examples of course pages]

01:26

In addition to a virtual textbook with in-depth readings and lessons…

01:30

…you’ll find activities and assignments...

01:32

…informative and entertaining videos to help all you visual learners out there… [Shmoop video playing]

01:35

…and unit and final exams for full-semester courses.

01:39

When you get to these bad boys, make sure you have the time and focus to sit down and

01:42

crank out the entire thing… there are no “do-overs”... [Woman typing manically]

01:46

So take Schools.shmoop courses for a spin. [Sail boat with schools.shmoop written on the side]

01:48

Once you’ve taken the plunge, you’ll feel like a self-assured captain on board the ship

01:52

of knowledge.

01:53

Sorry about the marine metaphor. [Bird poo lands on boy dressed as captain hook]

01:55

We must be itching to take a cruise. [Cruise ship appears]

01:57

Anyone have the number for Royal Caribbean? [Two people doing the titanic pose on the front of the cruise ship]
