Glory

Some producers will get all the glory and some will get a fine-print acknowledgment that's even harder to read than the "Thank you's" to their first-grade teacher. But being the sole reason an album is made and ever even listened to will give you buckets of personal glory. When those preteens start making Vines dancing to your artist's beat, you're going to feel pretty sweet.

The whole world may not know the names of Dann Huff and Mike Will Made, but they each produced a dozen or more tracks on the Hot 100—and those numbers aren't anything to scoff at. People who know the industry will know you.

And you've got plenty of opportunities to boost your ego with the Grammy's Music Producer Of The Year award, the Music Producer's Guild (MPG) Awards, the Association of Music Producers (AMP) Awards, and the plain old Music Producer Awards. Man, you guys are creative with these names.
