It's not looking good, bud. It's a producer-eat-producer world out there. You've got to bring your A-game to really ride the success train with the big cats. The fact of the matter is, anyone can produce music. To get paid (and paid well) is a whole other thing.
Do what you can to give yourself a razor-sharp edge and get educated. Learn as much as you can, hone every skill possible, fiddle with that sound board, pick up a harmonica—do whatever you can to know as much as you can. Be the producer with the hottest skills and you'll have a better chance of making it big time.
