Case File: The People of Troy vs. Odysseus

Case File: The People of Troy vs. Odysseus

Police Reports

Case Description: Complainants (the People of Troy) accuse Defendant (Odysseus) of war crimes for conceiving the idea of the Trojan Horse. Odysseus suggested that the Greeks build a giant wooden horse, one big enough to hide a bunch of warriors inside. The Greeks then left it as a "gift" for the Trojans and pretended to leave in peace. The Trojans hauled the horse into their city, and that night, the hidden Greeks slipped out and destroyed Troy. The Trojans claim that Odysseus's stratagem was dishonorable, and that he should be punished.

Case Status: Case dismissed. Hey, all's fair in love and war. Plus, the Trojan Horse is a majorly important pop culture icon now. We kind of dig it.
