- Leah has added a new son to her brood: Nathaniel. She actually gave birth to him on the ride from Kinshasa to Kimvula.
- The small boy was premature, and almost died, but he stuck it out. Her older kids are moving on. Pascal is at college. Patrice is also in school. And Martin-Lothaire? He's like a young Adah.
- Leah now spends a lot of time angry at how unfair the world is, but keeps hoping that one day, maybe for her children, it will be better.
