Famous People
George Herbert Walker Bush. The first George Bush to occupy the White House also had a career in college ball: captain of the Yale team and a player in the first two College World Series.
Garth Brooks. The country music legend was a big baseball nut and a star athlete at Oklahoma State University. This is, presumably, where he found those friends in low places.
Billy Crystal. Big Bill dreamed of playing baseball and was accepted to Marshall University on a baseball scholarship. Sadly, he never played in a game, since Marshall suspended its baseball program during his freshman year. Life ain't fair, eh, Billy?
