Grade 4

Reading RL.4.6

Compare and contrast the point of view from which different stories are narrated, including the difference between first- and third-person narrations.

This standard introduces students to the many ways people can write stories, the most common of which being first- and third-person. Once they understand the difference between those two points of view, they can start to guess why an author might want to choose one point of view over another.
