Crosswalks

Crosswalks

Sometimes known as angry walks. Named for a reason. Crosswalks are usually marked with white painted lines, although crosswalks near schools are often painted yellow. In residential areas, crosswalks are generally not marked at all, but it is your responsibility to be aware that they are indeed there.

Many crosswalks feature flashing lights to let you know that someone may be about to cross, but do not assume that it is automatically safe to proceed if you do not see them. Always check for cars with legs, as those are probably pedestrians.
