Key thing for those of you under 18: get Mom, Dad, or your guardian to sign your application. And there are a ton of things to remember as a young driver. 

A short list:

• You must be at least 14 years old to obtain an Instruction Permit and at least 16 years old for a Class D License.
• If you're 16 or 17, you'll have to have had your permit for at least six months before you're eligible to upgrade to the real deal.
• You have to pass the normal vision and written exams for the Instruction Permit License, as well as the driving test for the Class D.
• Bring all of the proper identification. It's a lot harder than you think to get McLovin printed on your license.
• If you're under 18, you have to be in compliance with school attendance. So, if you planned on dropping out of high school to become a taxi driver, you're out of luck.
