Identification (ID) Card
If you’re not quite ready, old enough, or in the market for a driver’s license but would still like to be able to prove to people that you exist, you can apply for a state-issued ID card. To get one of these bad boys, you must be zero years of age or older (you probably have that covered), and you need to present your social security number and an official document showing your birth date to the DMV. Once you receive your card, it will be valid for five years, unless you are between the ages of 16 and 20, in which case it will expire 90 days after your 21st birthday. You’ve heard how we’re basically different people every seven years? Well, just think of it this way: you’ll need a new identification card to accompany your new identity.
