Get Yourself Some Double-Ds
Designated drivers. Why, what did you think we meant?
Assuming you are of drinking age, if you don’t already have a friend who doesn’t drink or doesn’t mind foregoing alcohol on a regular basis for the sake of his companions, do yourself a favor and get one. Even if they have a boring personality, it will be worth keeping them around in the long run.
Otherwise, you and your friends can take turns being the DD. Make sure that anyone who volunteers is 21, licensed, and actually sober. If one of your friends insists on being the designated driver, but it comes out more like “deginasted diverer,” there is a chance he or she might have actually been drinking.
