Men's vs. Women's
Generally speaking, you don't see women's baseball teams in the NCAA. For women, it's softball—which, in one of those delightful ironies (like "jumbo shrimp"), isn't actually soft at all. Softball players are as tough as they come, and their "girly" underhanded pitch can usually take a man's head off at one hundred yards. Usually. Despite a few similarities, the two sides have little in common beyond basic concepts and rules.
Softball features bigger balls and shorter bats, and there's only sixty feet between the bases instead of ninety feet like there is in baseball. More specific minutia differentiates the sport, as well, and while the players may share workout facilities—especially in a bigger school—they're not likely to see much crossover.
