Proverbs only contains (what it says are) 800 proverbs from King Solomon. But 1 Kings 4:32 claims that Solomon wrote over 3,000 proverbs—leaving 2,200 unaccounted for (unless you were to count some of the sayings in Ecclesiastes, we suppose). (Source.)
