How It All Goes Down
- In a greenhouse, Amar sneaks up on Tobias and tells him why he faked his death: Allegiant were trying to save Divergent before Jeanine killed them. Man, they didn't do a good job, did they?
- The woman who found Amar's body was brainwashed with the memory serum.
- Anyway, Amar reveals that Tori's brother, George, also didn't die. Too bad Tori wasn't so lucky.
- Tobias gets over the fact that he's been lied to, and he and Amar hug it out—even though the hug makes Tobias a little uncomfortable.
- One last thing: Marcus's trial is set for tomorrow. Tobias walks back to his room, "numb and confused" (16.46).
